Multiprotocol Versatility with One Platform

With FlashMax, block (SAN), file (NAS), and object storage workloads coexist natively on a single system — without artificial silos. This eliminates the need for separate storage arrays, simplifies capacity planning, and maximizes utilization. FlashMax supports high-speed Ethernet (up to 400G) and Fibre Channel (up to 64G), with multipathing and link aggregation to ensure network resilience and failover.

Eliminate Silos and Maximize Utilization

With FlexSpaces, all data types and protocols share a single logical pool, including NVMe-oF, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB, and S3 storage. Many so-called unified systems claim block and file support, but still enforce logical silos beneath the surface, requiring administrators to carve and manage capacity separately. The result is lower utilization, more difficult forecasting, and unnecessary operational complexity. FlexSpaces eliminate these artificial boundaries, allowing capacity to be allocated dynamically wherever it is needed.

FlashMax is engineered differently. Its patented architecture removes the need for controller-to-controller cache mirroring by using a parallel write-through path directly to flash. This design eliminates the bottlenecks and cache coherency risk of conventional dual-controller systems while avoiding the cost and complexity of scale-out clusters. Omni delivers a centralized software platform for monitoring and managing the entire Nimbus infrastructure. It aggregates telemetry across all Nimbus systems, enabling centralized reporting for capacity planning, performance analysis, and streamlined administration. A robust yet easy-to-use REST API supports integration with existing enterprise management tools and simplifies automation. For standalone FlashMax systems, a built-in web interface and command line interface (CLI) offer direct management that is simple and intuitive, making anyone a storage pro with minimal training.
